European Leaders Decry US Action as ‘Coercion’
European leaders such as the French president charged Washington of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans targeted individuals that were central to campaigns to introduce legislation governing American tech companies.
“For too long, ideologues in Europe have led coordinated campaigns to coerce US companies to suppress US perspectives they disagree with,” stated the US secretary of state online. “This government will no longer tolerate these egregious acts of extraterritorial censorship.”
